HIRING CHORAL SCHOLARS FOR 2022-2023 SEASON

Linden Singers of Victoria is holding auditions for ONE choir scholar position for our 2022-2023 concert season.

The role of Choir Scholar is a paid position for basses and bass-baritones interested in building community through song, and providing musical leadership to their section.

Choir Scholars should have excellent vocal technique, strong musicianship and solid sight reading skills - along with a willingness to gently use all their skills to encourage and improve all members of their section. Applicants must be fully vaccinated prior to September 1, 2022.

Choir Scholars are to be members of the Linden Singers community, first and foremost.

Choir Scholars will report to the Music Director and liaise with key members of their sections, in order to ensure the best possible results for the choir as a whole.

Choir Scholars may also arrange mentorship sessions with the Music Director in: vocal technique/pedagogy, conducting or other adjunct skills. These sessions are offered as a value added component, and are to be arranged privately with the Music Director.

Interested TENORS, BASSES and BASS-BARITONES should submit a resume highlighting the skills and experiences appropriate to the role, as well as a statement of interest. The Music Director will reply to all applicants, arranging interview-auditions over Zoom as appropriate.
